Job Summary: Assist with the preparation and distribution of corporate financial statements for internal and external use, while ensuring that all documentation complies with company regulations and GAAP reporting guidelines. Also assists with the analysis of corporate financial reserves and various other corporate accounting projects as assigned.   Summary of Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with an accounting emphasis;
  • CPA with 2-3 years of accounting experience and/or operational/financial audit experience, preferably with a Big Four or regional firm;
  • Knowledge and application of GAAP;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Detail oriented with superior organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
  • Ability to analyze, problem solve and process confidential information.
  Summary of Duties:
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles;
  • Preparation of monthly supporting schedules and analysis for company leadership and the Board of Directors as well as supporting schedules and analysis for the annual audited financial statements;
  • Oversee the accounting and external actuarial analysis for all significant corporate reserves; including medical malpractice, medical claims liability and workers compensation, among others;
  • Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations, reviews and analysis;
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of consolidated budgeting and forecasting;
  • Assist with the work of external auditors throughout the year; and
  • Responsible for a wide degree of other corporate financial reporting projects on a periodic basis.
